Sex, Food, and Sleep – and, Not Necessarily in That Order
Apparently I have discovered the secret to men. Being of the female persuasion, I guess I think that there is more to life than those 3 little things. Does missing one cause an imbalance in the universe? As if a broken leg of a tripod – no pun intended here. But, is it really that simple?Early on in our marriage, my husband asked me to read a book, “The Proper Care and Feeding of Husbands” by Dr. Laura Schlessinger. Yep, he was serious, so I did it, I read it, even tried a few things. But I have to tell you, just the request pissed me off (but I bit my tongue) and the advice felt more like I was manipulating him that sharing my life with him. So are you saying I’m not taking care of things? Where’s the book, “Farting Does Not Equal Seduction?” or “I Don’t Want to Smell How Bad Your Feet Smell,” where are these manuals? Amongst a myriad of other things, I really do love my husband, even for all the gross outs and his love for annoying me.
After all these years it comes down to three things that makes him happy; sex, food, and sleep – and not particularly in that order.
